done.

last day of stress.
lately i've just been exhausted, unhappy, tired, worn thin, aggravated, taken advantaged of, heard every excuse, treated unfairly, looked over, talked down to, treated as a child.
today was my last full-time day with staples.

it all started back in 2005 when i moved up to provo.
i needed a job asap.
i hadn't even heard of staples, but i saw they were hiring. point
i also saw that they were closed on sunday's. double point.

my "second family" while i lived up there (besides the amazing friends i made) was my work family.  it might be strange, but i spent so much time there, it became like a second home!  we would talk about about everything. happy, sad, serious or funny.  i worked there a little over four years before i decided to move to mesa.  it was hard for me to leave.  i had been with (a core group) them for a long time!  it's what i knew.
it's what i loved.

luckily, i was able to transfer to a store in mesa.
(thank goodness for a job!)
most of you know that i DO NOT like change. of any kind.  it's scary for me & i don't usually adapt well.   it was different down here.
different state. same company, different store. different people. different clientele. different ways of doing things.
just different.
but, i embraced it after a while, and i have made a few good friends.

well, here we are five & a half years after i first started. whoa, how time flies!
*see, the no change thing. haha*
it's been a great ride.  i've learned a lot about myself.  something i have learned here in AZ, patience for the older folks... i've just gotten to the point where i'm done.
i think once you get to that place, you know what you need to do.

so, i decided a change needed to take place - to find another job & leave.
well, just that happened.  sort of.  i will be staying on for a few hours a week so i can use the vacation time i've earned (who doesn't love PAID time off?!) and to keep my benefits.

working at staples has been a great job.  it has been a great oppritunity to learn & meet some great people.  but a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  i'm very happy to start a new 'chapter' and to try something different.
