i. just. can't. stop.

Why do I have this addiction? I don't want it, but I just can't let it go. I find myself doing it all the time.

Brickbreaker, you are a curse.

it's all making sense

I hate snow.*
I hate driving in it.
I hate sliding around not knowing if you're going to hydroplane into an innocent bystander or the telephone pole.
I hate running late for work and having to scrape off the FEET of snow & defrost the windows.
I hate trudging through it & getting the bottoms of your pants dirty.
I hate that you can't see two feet in front of your car.
I hate when the roads aren't paved.
I hate the feel of cold snow on your bare back.

I hate birds.
I hate the movie "The Birds."
I hate the way they look.
I hate the sound they make.
I hate that they get so close to you.
I hate when they line up on the telephone pole or fly in big groups.
I hate black crows the most.
I hate the idea of them pecking me to death.

I just put two & two together. I hate snow and I hate birds. So, naturally I would hate snowbirds. I've had quite the encounter with some of these since moving to Arizona. Some are very nice. Some are very onry no matter what you say or do. Some are terrible drivers. Some smell funny. Some flirt with you even though they are 40+ years older than you. Some try to run you over.

Maybe one day I will love them? Maybe, but not for a lonnnnng time!

*I do, however, like to ski...this is something that my wonderful Katie taught me this last winter semester. Too bad I didn't have a longer time with it, I was told I was a "natural."

sometimes...

Sometimes life doesn’t go exactly how you think it should.

Sometimes you need to believe in greater good.

Sometimes you have to give up things in order to be happy.

Sometimes life is unexpected.

Sometimes life is just how you planned it.

Arizona is good.

New place. New work. New people.

Same family. Same love. Same support.

I miss my girlfriends.

I miss staying up all night laughing.

I miss dancing like no one’s business.

I miss the way they just know.

I hate snowbirds.

I hate my job.

I love playing with my nieces and nephews.

I love family dinner every Sunday night.

I love all the family get togethers.

I “love” being Tula.

I have a boyfriend.

His name is Brandon.

He is pretty great – just ask my mom.

Living back home & away from all my friends who became my family has been tough.

Each day is getting better.

Time to do new things.

Time to adjust.

Time to be happy with all things.

Sometimes all you need is time.

Chelsea wanted something really great for her birthday this year...so Brandon, Patrick, Chelsea & myself took a trip to California! We went to Disneyland & California Adventure for 2 days. We all had a BLAST. Before we left the beautiful weather, we had to make a stop at the beach.

State Fair

Everyone should love the State Fair. Rides, games, food, laughter, concerts. It is good. My family went this year and had a great time!

one week

My time in Provo has been indescribable. I’m trying to sort through all my memories & there are just too many for me to talk about! I’ve met some amazing people and have had great life experiences.

These past four years seem like a blur. When I think about all the memories, some good & some bad, I can’t help but smile and look at where I am NOW, TODAY.

I’m leaving my home, best friends, second family, mountains, crazy drivers, favorite place to get pedicures, BYU football games, skiing, warm summer days & cool summer nights/freezing winter days & freezing winter nights (that one I’m not so much opposed to!), an amazing Bishop & ward, bridal showers/weddings every weekend, etc, etc……

I’m excited to move to Arizona. I can’t wait to be around my family and finally be able to be at more family events! I’m afraid to change the people I work with. I’m nervous to meet new friends. However, I’m ready to take a chance and do something different.

I wish I had the time or emotional capability to say goodbyes to everyone who has meant something to me while up here. Unfortunately, it just won’t happen. Things change. People change.

Here are random pictures & memories in no particular order…
