Our friend Jack received the Aaronic priesthood! He first came to Utah to go into rehab. When he was done, he found himself wandering the streets of Provo & was soon picked up by a new found friend. Here we are a year or so later & Jack is now being ordained. He is the only member of his family and has had some struggles in life. However, this dude ROCKS! He is a true source of excitement, motivation, energy & has no cares in the world. He is continually trying to be the best person he can be. Our apartment is really close with him & he asked us all to be in the room (oh, and about 15 others!). It was an amazing thing to be a part of. WE LOVE YOU JACK!
Today...
Today was the dedication of the Draper Utah Temple. Fortunately, being in Provo allows you to experience some pretty amazing things. They were able to let a vast majority of students into the Marriott Center to participate. A few things were said about temples that I absolutely loved, so I will share them with you:
*The more we KNOW (our Savior & Heavenly Father), the more we TRUST
*When we leave the temple we will feel refreshed
*If we go regularly & with devotion we will feel the love & spirit
*We can be touched by the Master's hand when we are in the temple
*When we attend we get a renewal of strength & determination to keep the commandments
I'm so grateful for Sunday's. They definitely help to boost you up for the week!
